Done in partnership with dispensary company Tru Cannabis, the new retail store will feature a full line of cannabis-based retail products, including edibles, extracts and a variety of different strains.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Marley was upbeat about the new project.
“I didn’t know in my lifetime I’d be opening a dispensary. We’ve always been advocates of legalising marijuana and we always had the hope in our lifetime that we’d be involved in something like this, but I didn’t predict this would happen,” he said.
Marley, 38, is the youngest son of late reggae artiste Bob Marley. Stony Hill is also the name of his fourth album due out next year.
“Stony Hill is a place in Jamaica I grew up so it has a lot of significance,” he said.
Though Marley won’t yet go into detail, the Grammy-winning artiste says he has more cannabis business ventures to announce soon.
