ANOTHER CAMEROON RISING MOVIE DIVA TO WATCH OUT FOR, ONYAMA LAURA

"she is  Blessed to come from two of the greatest regions of Cameroon, the Southwest Region (Basossi) and the Northwest Region(Oshie).Had a very happy childhood with much love from my mum(Onyama Judith), my two siblings, aunts, cousins, uncles, grandparents and of course friends and neighbours. Did  my nursery, primary as well as secondary education in the legendary city of Buea , But I later moved to the capital city Yaoundé where I attend High school( EHS Yaoundé). I moved back to Buea in 2009 for my university Education where I obtained a bachelor degree in Linguistics with a minor in political science and public administration from the University of Buea in 2012.I joint the movie industry in 2009, made my first appearance in a movie set in 2011 the short movie "heavy rain" by New age Entertainment. I got a job with Orange Cameroun immediately after graduation. So I decided to take a break from acting because of my busy work schedule.I missed acting a lot ,so in 2015, I decided to quit my job to concentrate on it.I joint the National Actors Guild of Cameroon (NAGCAM)in 2014 and in September 2015, I was elected President of NAGCAM limbe chapter, making me the first and only female chapter president of NAGCAM.So far, I have featured in a few movies like: "Alma", "Kum a bread", "nkene-nkene", "Rumble", "Kiss of Death" .Apart from being an actress, I am a student makeup artist.Acting is my passion and I feel so alive when the camera is rolling.my happiest moment is when am on set. I cannot conclude without thanking these people who are my role models and who keep my acting career going:Chando  Daniel, Anurine Nwuenembum, Ala Leo, Edith Pikwa, Musing Derick, Billy Bob Ndive lifongo,Agbor Obed Agbor,Eka Christa ,Nkwah Kingsley."

Onyama Laura might not have been a household name in Cameroon until Saturday, July 23, 2016. But this gentlest actress had considered staying focused on the art she knows best, leaving the rest to providence, since joining the movies in 2011. Little did she know that a December 2015 filming trip to the North West region would be the beginning of a recognition phase of her true-to-the-heart movie career. She had travelled there to film "KISS OF DEATH", which would later become her gateway to career glory
Onyama bagged home as Best Cameroonian Actress award at the 2016 Ecrans Noirs film festival that rounded off in Yaounde over the weekend. You literally would not hear or see her much even when she works in an industry whose leading characteristic is exposure. This is because humility, in-depth in her, has consumed a huge chunk of the actress' life.

adding fun, punch, variety, time, class, reality and authenticity to the Cameroon film industry

When we watch an actor like him on films, we like how he play his role  , oh what a great vocal texture he has, we feel his charisma, or his  electric chemistry with his  acting passion and interest, we feel his authenticity, we sense the  naturalness, we get where he's coming from, or why he did that.  Best of all, we believe the truthfulness of the situation and the characters.  These are some of the descriptive words audience members use to relate their experience.
Most people don't know this.  Typically, when they meet an actor, they ask:  so what have you been in that I have seen?  Actors are associated with exhibitionism, , physical attractiveness, media exposure, or ability to deliver funny lines.  These are all part and parcel of the acting world, yes.  But this is not where most passionate, solid, here-to-stay artists reside.but with screen genius like votias Otia  you can easily relate with him when he is in movies
As one of the gemstone of cameroons movie industry and still holding the current leadership of the CFI.  he is a house whole name in cameroon and outside the shores of cameroon.

When it comes to acting,  Mister  Otia Vitalis  is a natural phenomenal element  So, having a look at  him in  the present Bad Angel series  it  can give you a wonderful idea on how to embark upon training yourself for acting. You would need a lot of training in order to understand about acting, and you’ll be able to get a lot of help if you follow these our iconic legend in cameroon movie industry.
for now i dont know how many movies he has inside his acting portfolio, but i guest it will be pretty much figours

Dark Skin Actress Get More Roles Than Fair Skin Actress, Do You Agree?

Human wants are unlimited and when it comes to Nollywood, one cannot really understand the truth about all some allegations leveled against some practitioners and this make fans wonder what the industry was turning into.
Some time ago, some set of Nollywood practitioners complained that the industry tends to favour more light skin actresses than dark skin ones and this became a topic of some sort.
Now, actress, Chelsea Eze, has come out to challenge such claims by stating that those with dark skin get more movie roles than the fair skin actors.
She explained sighting example with Kunle Afolayan’s hit movie ‘Figurine’ that the producer, had to turn her down when she approached him for a role with the excuse that she was too fair for the roles needed.
In her words, “There have been some projects that I was supposed to be involved in but I was told that I am too light skinned for the part. I remember when Kunle Afolayan wanted to do the cast for Figurine, I asked him if I could come for auditions but he told me that I am too ‘yellow’. There are some characters you need to play but you have to be dark skinned. I have had cases where I have to play some certain character and the make-up artiste makes me look very dark. Sometimes my complexion does not always favour me but I will not change my skin hue for any reason.”

This is really heartbreaking; the family of this young lady would really be in emotional crisis this period.
